OXO Tower (London, England)

imageMy favorite restaurant in London!  It’s south of the Thames River the OXO Tower serves up excellent cuisine and wonder views of the city and the West end.

From the bar, terrace and sometimes your table you can see Buckingham Palace, Parliament, St. Paul’s cathedral and the City.  There is a brassier section but I have only eaten in the Restaurant

It’s a creative blend of European and British Modern cuisine and I’m never disappointed – you can expect traditional dishes with an innovative twist like:  blueberry mousse and iced earl grey tea.

The restaurant is an elegant dining experience in an art-deco decorative ambiance, making it pleasantly informal.  The wine list is impressive, with of over 800 wines from around the world the wait staff are professional and knowledgeable.

I recommend this great little gem to anyone living or passing through London!

Dans Le Noir – London

I was reminded today about a fun restaurant in London that I wanted to share with you.  I have been there several times but most recently I was there with our software development team to learn more about accessibility!

This restaurant provides an unbelievable experience: eating in the pitch darkness. For sighted people it is a little strange but this restaurant provide an experience that everyone can enjoy.

With the help of blinded guides you will completely re-evaluate your notions of taste and smell.

News Cafe (Ocean Drive, Miami Beach)

imageI can only think of one thing better than breakfast on the beach, breakfast at News Cafe.  People watching opportunities are included for free!

Its on Ocean Drive  at 8th Street, in Miami Beach, this restaurant is directly across from the ocean.  Open 24hours, News Cafe is a bar, a cafe and a newsstand with a menu large enough to satisfy everyone.  Breakfast ranges from yogurt to pastries, pancakes and fresh juices.  Stay long enough and have a traditional burger and fries for lunch while enjoying the sea breeze .

Opened in 1988 as a bookstore and newsstand where local jazz musicians played and intellectuals gathered, this quaint restaurant oozes with history and vibrancy.  There’s no better way to start the day!

World Resources Cafe (Lincoln Road, Miami Beach)

image For fresh Thai and Japanese cuisine  I highly recommend World Resources

On the busy Lincoln Road “walking mall” World Resources is an oasis of great fresh sushi, hand rolls, assortments of traditional Japanese delicacies and Thai dishes like Thai Curry, Crispy Duck salad and other House Favorites.

My favorite part, people watching!  Eat outside and enjoy the sun, the shade or, as the restaurant likes to say, "sushi under the stars."
